The words highlighted in the video are these:
| * Bailiwick * Balatron * Bombilating * Callipygian * Chockablock * Confabulate * Dragooned * Frippet | * Fulsome Indecorum * Peccadillo * Peregrination * Pettifogging * Prestidigitator * Timorous Grinagog * Toggery * Unasinous |
Concerning these words, Dickinson used... **drum roll** ... none of them. The video includes some great examples of interesting words, but of the 16 terms mentioned, Dickinson did not use any of them in her poetry – although she did use the word “bailiff” in one poem, a term related to “bailiwick,” the first word in the video.
I then checked a site with “10 Amazing Words Used by Moira Rose" (HERE). I thought the words on the video were more unusual/interesting; however, Dickinson did use forms of three of the words from this list in her poetry. Take a guess as to which three, and then I’ll fill you in tomorrow.
Here are the ten words from the site:
| * Ennui * Encumbered * Capricious * Mercurial * Balatron | * Irksome * Vigor * Gutted * Potable * Habilimented |
