“I send you a Gale, and an Epitaph – and a Word to a Friend, and a Blue Bird, for Mrs. Higginson. Excuse them if they are untrue –”
Sooo…this morning I present you with a Gale, an Epitaph, a word to a Friend and a Blue Bird.
The “gale” is the poem “It sounded as if the streets were running.”
The Epitaph is “She laid her docile Crescent down.”
The word to a Friend is “I have no life but this,” and the Blue Bird is “After all Birds have been investigated and laid aside.”
