We visited San Antonio to conduct research on Almaron Dickinson, a first cousin to Emmett Lee Dickinson and who lost his life in the Battle of the Alamo.  His wife Susanna (the "Yellow Rose of Texas") and their daughter Angelina survived the conflict.

While in Texas we also visited Austin, and in both cities we conducted thorough research on the Margarita, the popular drink invented by Emmett Lee Dickinson.

We were supposed to visit Savannah in April 2020, and then thanks to the COVID pandemic, our trip got pushed to June.  Life in quarantine played havoc again, and our trip got postponed until October.

Now, we're about to travel south -- but thanks to the Trump Virus, we plan to visit outdoor sites, and we'll dine al fresco or back at our hotel room.  We'll take social distancing very seriously.

Along the way, we'll post lots of info and pics -- so check out our travelogue by clicking the button above.
