In hopes of a refreshing Blue Wave, I have posted Emmett Lee Dickinson's "Our Reward for Voting, is This" (below on the left). His poem inspired third cousin Emily to pen her poem "My Reward for Being, was This" (below on the right).
By Emmett Lee Dickinson: Our Reward for Voting, is This. Our democracy – Our Soul – And admirably, more – Our Freedoms – protected – And Rights – in Store – When Thugs accost our Land – With “Us Vs. Them” – I beseech Thee – Their poison’s powerless – by voting Blue – Election – Vote – The Ballots of Democracy will shut them down. | By Emily Dickinson: My Reward for Being, was This. My premium – My Bliss – An Admiralty, less – A Sceptre – penniless – And Realms – just Dross – When Thrones accost my Hands – With "Me, Miss, Me" – I'll unroll Thee – Dominions dowerless – beside this Grace – Election – Vote – The Ballots of Eternity, will show just that. |
Of course, in recent speeches Biden has spoken the truth about the Ultra MAGA GOP neo-Nazi Fascists -- and of course, since "TRUTH" is Kryptonite to the GOP, the neo-Nazi Fascists have gone crazy that Biden dares to identify them as neo-Nazi Fascists.
"Biden is so divisive," they all bark and yap -- but you know that old saying "if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...."
Of course, the neo-Nazi Fascists spread nothing but heinous messages of hatred for all who do not adopt their desire to replace democracy with religious-based authoritarianism to advance white supremacy -- they even threaten Civil War and violence in the streets if/when Imperial Grand Wizard Trump is indicted for his crimes (quite a message from the party of "law and order" and "back the Blue").
In tribute to Biden for speaking the truth, I have posted Emmett Lee Dickinson's "How grave their heinous message is" below of the left. Dickinson's poem inspired his third cousin Emily to pen her poem "The grave my little cottage is," below on the right.
By Emmett Lee Dickinson: How grave their heinous message is, Of “Cleaning house” of thee They tweet their hogwash openly And warn of war with glee For we’re divided, truly A cycle, it may be, Till common sense and truth unite Our strong society. | By Emily Dickinson: The grave my little cottage is, Where "Keeping house" for thee I make my parlor orderly And lay the marble tea. For two divided, briefly, A cycle, it may be, Till everlasting life unite In strong society. |
