Trump-brand fire retardant pants have sold like hotcakes ever since they were introduced on WhiteHouse.gov, and GOP liars have been buying them up as fast as Chinese children can manufacture them at eight-three cents an hour -- and last week was a BIG week because political fact-checkers could not keep up with fast and furious pace of lies coming out of Trump, his flying monkeys, and the GOP as they've continued to fill and stock the swamp.
It brought to mind Emmett Lee Dickinson's poem "His Truth -- is senseless" (below on the left), a poem he wrote about Drittereich Drümpf, a distant relative of Trump's who ran for governor of Ohio in the late-1880s (info is HERE). The poem is as relevant today in describing Donald Trump as it was in characterizing Drittereich Drümpf in the 1800s. Dickinson's poem also inspired third cousin Emily to pen her poem "The Truth – is stirless" (below on the right).
By Emmett Lee Dickinson: His Truth – is senseless – Almost farce – may be presumed to move – This – then – is just incompetence – This Leader’s maxims swerve – The Oaf does twist the facts – And Maintains – feebly – His Body of evidence does Stand without a Bone – As gibberish and Farce Unfolds without a Thought – Truth strays Herself – for every word He utters – is what it’s not – | By Emily Dickinson: The Truth – is stirless – Other force – may be presumed to move – This – then – is best for confidence – When oldest Cedars swerve – And Oaks untwist their fists – And Mountains – feeble – lean – How excellent a Body, that Stands without a Bone – How vigorous a Force That holds without a Prop – Truth stays Herself – and every man That trusts Her – boldly up – |
