Half the country will be relieved next week when the presidential election is over (the other half will be in mourning), but there is one thing we suppose everyone will welcome – the end of those god-awful political advertisements on TV. However, the end of the political advertising season can only mean one thing: we’re about to be inundated with holiday shopping commercials. As a matter of fact the ratio of Christmas ads to political ads is already 3 to 1.
Yes, the holidays are coming (and we were just reminded of that fact by a Holidays Spectacular commercial for Target).
