A few years ago, the Emmett Lee Dickinson Museum (above the coin-op laundromat on Dickinson Boulevard) offered a practical and sensible alternative to NaNoWriMo through an initiative called NaTwiReTweMo, National Twitter Retweeting Month. We figured if people were too busy to write a novel, they could at least log into Twitter and retweet someone else’s tweets now and then using the hashtag #NaTwiReTweMo. Highlights from past years of retweeting are HERE.
We have to admit, though, that we’ve been so busy this year we’ve had difficulty finding the time to retweet others’ tweets! Therefore, we are currently working with world-famous computer specialist jack Hacker to develop the Twitbit, a Twitter activity tracker with wireless-enabled wearable technology.
The Twitbit will buzz on the wearer's wrist if he/she hasn't tweeted at least 10 times in a ten minute period. Plus, it will measure the number of tweets tweeted, the quality of the tweets, the number of likes and retweets, and other personal Twitter metrics. We’ll keep you posted on the development of this exciting new product! Hopefully, they will be ready just in time for the 2016 Shopping Season.* *Formerly known as the “Holiday Season.” |
