He had no experience in communications whatsoever, but he was appointed to be the Director of Communications for the White House.
He became angry over a reporter’s tweet, so he called the reporter to unleash on others in the administration using language that could not be repeated on the news.
Then he whined and said he’d never trust a reporter again – because the press reported the truth about what happened.
Yes. That’s Anthony Scaramucci, the new Director of Communications for the White House. For the President. Of the United States of America.
He should have been fired immediately.
Trump's talking-heads tried to brush this under the rug stating that "he likes to use colorful language." Whatever happened to, "I only surround myself with the best people"?
Of course, this debacle called to mind a poem by Emmett Lee Dickinson (Emily Dickinson’s third cousin, twice removed – at her request), “I heard a Sailor talk, sometimes” (below on the left). Dickinson’s poem inspired third cousin Emily to post her poem, “I heard an Organ talk, sometimes” (below on the right).
By Emmett Lee Dickinson: I’ve heard a Sailor talk, sometimes In Bars down by the Bay And understood each word he said – Yet none that I would say – So wisen up – or go away, Since you’re the office Chief – You – know not what was done to you? Let’s hope your tenure’s brief. | By Emily Dickinson: I've heard an Organ talk, sometimes In a Cathedral Aisle, And understood no word it said -- Yet held my breath, the while -- And risen up — and gone away, A more Berdardine Girl -- Yet — know not what was done to me In that old Chapel Aisle. |
Fun fact: If you're wondering where you'd seen Scaramucci before, he was the inspiration for a character on The Simpsons name "Poochie."
