I almost tend to think that anyone who purchases a Trump Bible deserves to be fleeced. They're definitely easy marks for such a seasoned con man as Trump. and they're living proof that "a fool and his money are soon parted."
In recognition of Trump's skills and abilities as a crook and a flimflammer, I have posted Emmett Lee Dickinson's "When he touts his deeds" below on the left. Dickinson's poem inspired third cousin Emily to pen her poem "When I count the seeds," below on the right.
By Emmett Lee Dickinson: When he touts his deeds Which are known deceit-- Embellished, lie on lie-- When he cons the people Lain so low, To be received as high-- When he believes the country Normal cannot be-- Mocks our faith and science And avoids the Truth, I can spare this Con Man, oh most certainly. | By Emily Dickinson: When I count the seeds That are sown beneath, To bloom so, bye and bye-- When I con the people Lain so low, To be received as high-- When I believe the garden Mortal shall not see-- Pick by faith its blossom And avoid its Bee, I can spare this summer, unreluctantly. |
