I've participated in a variety of "30 Day Challenges" in the past -- either on Instagram or on Twitter -- or both. I've done one on my favorite works of art, one on classical music, and then "30 Days of Favorites" and "30 Days of Gripes." You can see those four challenges HERE. Currently, I'm participating the 31-day "Another World October"Challenge. I'll post my responses on Twitter on a daily basis -- and then I'll post the pics below too. 8. A Favorite Place
Day 9: Sounds: Tomaso Albinoni's "Adagio in G Minor"
Day 10: Hidden Talent / Something Others May Not Know About You: I write original songs based on the poetry of Emily Dickinson (I've only recently started posting them on my plog (poetry blog). You can check them out HERE. | Day 11 of #AnotherWorldOctober: Reading List How'd we get from 1619 to Trump's AmeriKKKa? Read these books: "Emmett Till," "Red Summer," "Five Days," "Stamped from the Beginning," & "Begin Again" -- & listen to "Project 1619." Don't be hoodwinked by the racism of the GOP. |
Day 16: Surreal: Of course, the original headline read "Dewey defeats Truman," and it is surreal to me that Trump could win a second term. Are there really that many racists in this country who support this grifter? I feel as though we are in the Twilight Zone!
The front door is named after Jim Asher, the world's leading authority on Emmett Lee Dickinson (Emily Dickinson's third cousin, twice removed -- at her request).
Day 22: Favorite Live Show or Venue: Old Cabell Hall on the grounds of the University of Virginia where I have season tickets to the Charlottesville Symphony. Alas, due to the Trump Virus, this year's season has been cancelled. | Day 23: Descent: With Trump, there is no bottom, and I hope and pray that we do NOT continue our descent into the GOP abyss -- VOTE BLUE TO END THIS NIGHTMARE. VOTE BLUE TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY. |
Day 31: Halloween: Trick or treating in the year 2020.
