The second happiest job for 2015 is executive chef, and the third happiest is loan officer. The economy must be doing better than I thought.
The unhappiest job of 2015 is that of a security guard, followed by merchandiser (a whaaa?) and salesperson.
The Emmett Lee Dickinson Museum (above the coin-op Laundromat on Dickinson Boulevard) also commissioned a study on jobs recently. We set out to discover the loneliest jobs of 2015, and the results are below:
1. Librarian
2. Poet
3. Philosopher
4. Crabber
5. Lumberjack
6. Game Warden
7. Horse Whisperer
8. The Elmo Character in Times Square
9. Traveling Petting Zoo Custodian
10. Funeral Home Cosmetologist
To help those in the loneliest of all the possible jobs – librarians – the ELD Museum is proud to join forces with the American Library Association to develop a dating app exclusively for librarians. The app will be called “DateDue,” and it will include various state-of-the-art features to help librarians connect. See a librarian on "DateDue" you're interested in? Swipe right to “check him/her out.” Not interested? Swipe left to return the librarian to circulation.
More information is HERE. We’ll keep you posted as to when the actual app will be launched.
