Donald Trump was the most corrupt man to occupy the White House in our nation's history. Then, to top it off, he incited an insurrection in an attempt to overthrow our free and fair presidential election. I truly cannot understand why he hasn't been arrested -- and I will never understand why the GOP did not convict him during his unprecedented second impeachment trial. Now he continues to spread "the big lie," and the GOP members of congress are lining up behind him up. It is truly frightening. The GOP is not honing their skills to mount another coup -- they are conducting an overthrow of our government in real time right before our eyes. GOP reps in congress and GOP politicians in states across the country are setting the stage so that -- where and when they can -- they will suppress the vote and overthrow free and fair elections to maintain their control and power. I NEVER thought I'd see this in my lifetime, but the GOP is the true enemy to democracy. They are the true enemy of the people.
Even more absurd: Not only are the GOP members of Congress backing Trump with "the Big Lie," they are augmenting the lie with lies of their own -- stating that the insurrection on January 6th was like any other ordinary day in the US Capitol -- that the MAGA terrorists were just ordinary tourists taking a look around. Of course they are obstructing a commission to investigate the attempted coup to overthrow our government -- THE GOP WAS IN ON THE PLANNING! They are the enemy within -- and they cannot afford to let the truth come out!
