With the release of his biography Caps for Sale, Donald Trump has been making the rounds on the network and cable news shows. Trump predicted that his biography will become the "top-selling life story ever."
"People like me," he told Bill O'Reilly on Fox News. "What can I say? I won't just win the Hispanic vote, I'll win the generic vote. People just like me, so that's why my book will sell. It'll end up being the top-selling biography ever."

Asked whether the book was a biography or an autobiography, Trump answered, "It's really both. I told the story and the story is about me. But it really needed my name on it. My name sells. And speaking of sales, my 'Make America Great Again' man-caps are now on sale at all of my outlets and casinos which are also selling my new book Caps for Sale which I both told and wrote so it's going to top the charts. It'll be the top-selling biography ever. You watch."

As a matter of fact, the top-selling biography -- by a long shot -- is Emmett Lee Dickinson, A Biography, by Gore Vidal.

"It is highly unlikely, if not statistically impossible, for Mr. Trump's little book to even approach the sales numbers of Vidal's profile of Emmett Lee Dickinson," said Albert W. Frommholtz, the Lead Research and Metrics Strategist for the New York Times.
