"I am not a crook." Yes, Nixon said it. And yes, Nixon was a crook.
"I am not a racist." Yes, Donald Trump said it. And alas, yes, Trump is a racist. As a matter of fact, The New York Times printed today "The Definitive List" of Trump's racism, HERE.
The hypocrisy of Trump's denial and of his GOP defenders is beyond incredible. Remember when Paul Ryan called some of Trump's remarks, "textbook racism"? Now he speaks of Trump's "exquisite" leadership.

Trump's specious words call to mind Emmett Lee Dickinson's poem "He conned his sheep that lousy lout" (below on the left). Dickinson's poem inspired third cousin "He went by sleep that drowsy route" (below on the right).
