Last night I watched Alfred Hitchcock's thriller PSYCHO on TCM (Turner Classic Movies). Hitchcock was heavily influenced by the work of Emmett Lee Dickinson (Emily Dickinson's third cousin, twice removed --at her request), and he always said that "Psycho" was his most "Dickinson-esque" film because it borrowed liberally from events from the poet's life (as documented in Volume 1 of Great American Poems -- REPOEMED). More information about the Hitchcock-Dickinson connection is HERE (see the entry dated May 2).
However, when the movie ended last night, there was a major announcement about a coming sequel to PSYCHO called DC PSYCHO starring reality TV star, Donald Trump. The golden shower scene, I hear, is absolutely terrifying -- and they say that throughout the movie, Trump stocks the swamp with all sorts of dead bodies! Early reports state that this will be one terrifying movie! AND, if that's not enough, Divided Artists (a subsidiary of United Artists) announced today that they will release a sequel to Clash of the Titans on January 20, 2017, called Clash of the White Supremacists. This sequel also stars Donald Trump and a cast of other very overrated actors. The tagline for the movie: "On January 20th We Release The Kraken." Word on the street is that this, too, is a very frightening -- if not disturbing -- movie! |
