Silent Spring

Emmett Lee Dickinson, Emily Dickinson's third cousin, twice removed -- at her request, was quite the visionary!

Take a look at the short poem below (on the left) that was written in 1853!  Dickinson's poem inspired third cousin Emily to pen her poem with the similar opening line (below on the right).
